SpeedXP is a program that optimizes your Windows XP performance. It achieves this by tweaking some hidden settings, in order to leave your system running at its peak performance.
SpeedXP doesn´t have an installer, it´s a portable application. You must just unzip the downloaded file, and then run SpeedXP.exe from the destination folder. The program will then show you a list with some editable parameters. Moving the pointer of the mouse over a given parameter will cause the program to show you some information about that parameter in the lower information window. You will then be able to decide by yourself if you want to tweak that parameter or not, by checking the assigned box. In the "Network-Internet" section you´ll have to tell the program the Internet connection you use. Then, it will suggest the better network parameters for your system. By clicking on the "Tips" button, SpeedXP will show you a list of tips about Windows XP. You can apply the changes by clicking the "Apply" button. The changes will be applied once you reboot your system. |
